Breast cancer is the most common cancer in U.S. women. There were an estimated 212,920 new cases of invasive cancer and 40,970 deaths in 2006 alone. The National Cancer Institute estimates that based on current rates, 12.2 percent of women born today will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some time in their lives.

Early detection is the most powerful tool we have in fighting breast cancer and has increased survival rates to more than 95 percent. The earlier cancer is detected, the more options a woman has for treatment, as well as a better chance for survival. Methods for early detection include Breast MRI, Digital Mammography, Ultrasound, Breast Self Exam (BSE), and examination by a Physician. A Women’s Center is focused on providing the necessary care and procedures to assist in the early diagnosis of this disease.

Committed to educating their patients Women’s Centers have a full understanding of what women are going through and can provide the most comfortable atmosphere for any procedure needed. These procedures include: Screening Mammograms, Diagnostic Mammograms, Breast Ultrasound, Breast MRI, MRI guided Breast Biopsy, Stereotactic Breasts Biopsy, Needle Localization, and Bone Density Scanning (DEXA) just to name a few.
